This blog post features a testimonial from a director client whose company was faced with a winding up petition in a substantial sum presented by H M Revenue & Customs. The client was recommended to the Director’s Friend by their business adviser.

A winding up petition:

A winding up petition presented by a creditor asks the Court to order a company into compulsory liquidation. Part of the process pre order is that the winding up petition is advertised. The Director’s Friend says that this can be terminal for the company as its bank and the wider world becomes aware of the winding up petition. That usually means that the company bank account is frozen and suppliers cease trading with the company and/or support the winding up petition. Therefore, a winding up petition is very serious for a company.

This is the testimonial for the advice of the Director’s Friend:

I instructed Richard Cole (the Director’s Friend) in respect of a winding up petition that had been presented against my company by H M Revenue & Customs. I was a director of that company. I was extremely concerned and worried by the winding up petition. I was referred to Richard Cole who was able to take instructions and the worry away from me.

After negotiating with H M Revenue & Customs over a protracted period of time Richard Cole was able to negotiate to pay a lesser sum than was demanded by way of the winding up petition and importantly to me personally obtain time for payment from the sale of a property.

I was very happy and impressed with the service that Richard Cole as the Director’s Friend provided to me. Richard Cole certainly is the Director’s Friend! I would have no hesitation in recommending Richard Cole to you for insolvency / company / directors advice.

The Director's Friend

This blog post features a testimonial from a client who was faced with a substantial director disqualification investigation against him. The client was recommended to the Director’s Friend by their accountant to advise.

The investigation was wide ranging and included diverse issues such as:

  • Significant monies owed to particular trade creditors; and
  • Directors loans and benefits.

Outline of the Director Disqualification investigation:

The client was faced with a great number of questions from the investigator at the Insolvency Service that he was struggling with and getting worried about.

The Director’s Friend was able to help:

This is the testimonial for the advice of the Director’s Friend:

‘I was faced with a wide ranging and detailed director disqualification investigation by the Insolvency Service. They were asking a great number of questions of me in respect of creditors and directors loans and benefits (amongst other issues).

Richard was introduced to me by my accountant to advise. With Richard’s advice a detailed and lengthy letter of rebuttal, representations and answers was drafted and sent to the Insolvency Service. A further letter of enquiry was quickly answered by Richard. Shortly thereafter the Insolvency Service confirmed that they were not proposing to take director disqualification proceedings against me.

I cannot tell you how happy I was with that email. This has been a really stressful period for me and I'm delighted with the result.

I just want to say thank you very much Richard, I've been so impressed with you and your service.

I would not hesitate to recommend Richard Cole (AKA the ‘Director’s Friend’) to you.

Rita Wright was excellent, she explained everything clearly and concisely in a caring manner.
Good Job !

Maria was very accommodating and responsive to our requests, given that I was not in the UK. I was kept fully updated on the matter and Maria was very efficient in dealing with our matter.

I have been most impressed with the debt collection procedure offered by your staff. Very prompt and helpful in keeping me up to date with the debtor positions.

So far we have not needed to progress to further legal action as your 7 day letter before action is enough to generate payment from our customers. However, I am sure if we did the level of service from Breeze & Wyles would be excellent.
