John Appleton – (Director and Head of Residential Conveyancing) is the Director in Charge of the Enfield office. Dealing mainly with residential property work, he supervises a large team of conveyancers which has developed a reputation for excellent service to clients.
Murray Fraser– (Chief Operating Officer) concentrates on the delivery of volume legal services to mortgage lenders and institutional clients. He was responsible for the creation of our commoditized services trading arm breezeplus in 2001. His focus is on delivering leading edge legal processes and customer excellence through the use of technology.
Murray has been heavily involved in developing innovative legal solutions and has collaborated with third parties such as the Land Registry to create process changes to the property market. Murray graduated from Southampton University in 1989 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1992. He became a Partner/Director of the business in 1995. Murray was admitted as a Notary Public in 2001.
Brendan O’Brien–(Chief Executive Officer) After spending 4 years with a major International Law Practice Brendan joined the firm in 1996 and was appointed as a Partner in October 2000. Brendan graduated from Imperial College London in 1990 (with a degree in Physics) and University College London in 1995 (with a degree in Law).
Brendan recently advised on the acquisition of a company for a value in excess of £7m whose main asset was freehold property subject to 38 commercial leases. Last year Brendan advised on the sale with the consent of a Company Voluntary Arrangement Supervisor and based on revised terms to the creditors of an advertising company for a value in excess of £2m to strengthen his clients offering to the Marketing and PR market. Last year Brendan advised on the corporate disposal for a value in excess of £12m of a social care recruitment and placement business which including significant issues on data protection and placement contracts. In addition he advised on the corporate acquisition of an Entertainment company by another together with the hive up of assets from the acquired company to the new parent.
Additionally, given the stricter regulatory regime Brendan provides advice to Independent Financial Advisers on the sale of their businesses and the structures that they must form to do so tax efficiently.
Olive McCarthy MCIArb–(Director and Joint Head of Family Department) – Olive joined the firm in 2000 and was appointed as a Partner and Head of the Family Law Department in the old firm in 2004. Olive has had panel accreditation with the Law Society as a Family Law Specialist since 2003 and has been a Collaborative Lawyer since early 2009. She is also accredited with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators as a Family Law Arbitrator since early 2013, a prestigious accolade that few have achieved in the UK.
Malina Gupta–(Director and Head of Volume Remortgage) Malina joined Breeze and Wyles Solicitors LLP in 2000 and became a Partner in 2006. Malina manages the remortgage departments based at the Bishops Stortford office. From her property law background Malina handles the management of the teams and workflows for the supply of volume legal services to mortgage lenders. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 2002.
Malina also handles the relationship aspects of key lender accounts.
Adrian Toulson–(Director of Risk and Compliance Officer of Legal Practice). Adrian graduated from The University of Central Lancashire in 1993, and Chester College of Law in 1994 before admission as a Solicitor in 1996. Adrian joining Breeze & Wyles Solicitors in 2009 having been a Conveyancing Partner for 10 years at his previous firm. Adrian specialising in residential and commercial Conveyancing focusing on site acquisitions for developers as well as Solicitors regulation and compliance.
Adrian is responsible for managing Breeze & Wyles risk and chairs Breeze & Wyles risk committee. Adrian is also responsible for managing Breeze & Wyles conveyancing service for Banks, Building Society’s, Corporate Estate Agents, IFA networks and Introducers for property related work through the companies Breezeplus Legal Solutions service. Adrian focuses his team on high levels of customer service. Adrian is currently developing an innovative IT solution to speed up and improve the customer’s experience of the conveyancing process.
Adrian is a member of the management committee of the Conveyancing Association and currently chairs Breeze & Wyles solicitors ltd management board.
Andrew Moore–(Director) – Andrew is a Director in the residential property department based at our Hertford office. Andrew graduated from Sheffield University with LLB (Hons) and since qualification as a solicitor in 1990 has specialized in property and in particular residential conveyancing. Andrew joined Breeze and Wyles in 2009 and became a Director in 2014.
Karen Johnson –(Director and Joint Head of Family Department) – A Graduate of the University of East Anglia who then completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London and then Qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 working in a local High Street Firm before Joining Breeze & Wyles Solicitors in 2009 and becoming an Associate with the firm in 2011.
Karen is a highly skilled and experienced Family Solicitor with in excess of 10 years experience of working in Family Law. She is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in the fields of Domestic Violence and Financial Matters. Karen is additionally a Family Mediator trained by and a member of the Family Mediators Association (The FMA) an association with over 20 years experience of Family Mediation.
Manish Patel–(Director) – Manish qualified in 2006 and has since specialised in all areas of residential and commercial conveyancing. He graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 1999 with a BSc in Biomedical Science after which he attended University of Westminster.
