Breeze & Wyles Solicitors Limited is always looking for people who are passionate about conveyancing.
We want people who are smart and determined with an excellent customer service attitude; we look for ability over experience.
The Training Academy is open to anyone but this programme may be more suitable for:
- School leavers
- University graduates
- Legal Practice Course graduates
However, no-one is excluded from the programme. The only qualities you need are those mentioned. There is no need for any conveyancing experience as we wish to train you to process conveyancing transactions our way.
The outcome of the training will be different for people of different educational backgrounds. The course and period of working with the experienced gained may be used to:
- Commence a more formal legal educational programme such as ILEX or CLC
- Develop your career and your experience within the firm
- Use the time spent as ‘time to count’ as a Trainee Solicitor in the future.
We would expect all successful participants to have spent at least 3 months with the firm in one of our conveyancing or remortgage departments usually providing call handling or case assistant functions. This will allow the participant to learn how to operate our case management system, an important foundation for all candidates.
The training will fall into two parts; peer training and supervision and formal training provided by an external supplier.
At the end of the programme we would expect the successful candidates to fall into two categories. Those with some legal education should be able to handle a conveyancing case load with limited supervision. Those without legal education should be able to progress transactions from start to finish with the full support of a qualified lawyer. We know this latter role as a case handler.
New participants will begin with the Training Academy by 1 October in each year.
