Peter Tunstill – (Director and Head of the Litigation Department) is based at the Hertford Office. Peter specialises in Commercial Litigation, Commercial Contract and Landlord and Tenant work. As deputy Sheriff for the County, Peter also supervises all of the High Court Writs that are sent to the Sheriffs officers for enforcement. Peter was admitted as a Solicitor in 1972.

John Appleton – (Director and Head of Residential Conveyancing) is the Director in Charge of the Enfield office. Dealing mainly with residential property work, he supervises a large team of conveyancers which has developed a reputation for excellent service to clients. He was admitted as a Solicitor in November 1989, and has spent most of his time since then with Breeze and Wyles Solicitors LLP, save for a short sabbatical travelling the globe.

Murray Fraser – (Director and Head of Lender Services) concentrates on the delivery of volume services to mortgage lenders and other institutional clients. He was responsible for the creation of our trading arm breezeplus which provides leading edge legal support through the use of technology and in particular case management reporting and tracking services. Murray graduated from Southampton University in 1989 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1992. He became a Partner at the old firm of Breeze and Wyles in 1995 and is now the Director in charge of the Bishops Stortford office. Murray was admitted as a Notary Public in 2001.

Brendan O’Brien – (Director and Head of Company Commercial and Corporate Recovery) After spending 4 years with a major International Law Practice Brendan joined the firm in 1996 and was appointed as a Partner in October 2000. Brendan graduated from Imperial College London in 1990 (with a degree in Physics) and University College London in 1995 (with a degree in Law). Brendan is also a Notary Public.

Notable Transactions
Brendan recently advised on the acquisition of a company for a value in excess of £7m whose main asset was freehold property subject to 38 commercial leases.
This year Brendan has advised on the sale with the consent of a Company Voluntary Arrangement Supervisor and based on revised terms to the creditors of an advertising company for a value in excess of £2m to strengthen the clients offering to the Marketing and PR market.
Last year Brendan advised on the corporate disposal for a value in excess of £12m of a social care recruitment and placement business which including significant issues on data protection and placement contracts.
This year Brendan has advised on the corporate acquisition of an Entertainment company by another together with the hive up of assets from the acquired company to the new parent.

Jane Dismore – (Director and Head of Employment Law Services) was admitted as a Solicitor in October 1995 and became a Partner in the old firm of Breeze and Wyles in October 2000. Jane is based at the Hertford Office and deals mainly with employment law work of both a contentious and non-contentious nature. She also provides general litigation support services. Jane has written articles for and been published in The Times.

Olive McCarthy – (Director and Head of Matrimonial) completed a BA Honours in Social Sciences, majoring in law at the University of Hertfordshire, following which, she attended the London College of Law. Olive joined the firm in 2000, specialising in Family law and was appointed as a Partner and Head of the Family Law Department in the old firm in 2004. She is a member of the Resolution and has had panel accreditation with the Law Society Family Law Panel since 2003. Olive is an active member of the East Herts Domestic Violence Forum and is also the honorary legal representative for the Citizens Advice Bureau for Broxbourne, Hertford and Ware.

Malina Gupta - (Director) joined Breeze and Wyles Solicitors LLP as a trainee Solicitor in 2000 after having graduated from Middlesex University and attending at the London College of Law. Malina was admitted as a Solicitor in 2002 and has since managed the further advance department based at the Bishops Stortford office. She continues to be involved with the development of the teams and workflows for the supply of volume legal services to mortgage lenders. Malina became a Partner in the old firm of Breeze and Wyles in 2006.

Roger Thompson - (Director) Roger is based at our Enfield office and provides a wide range of services to our private and commercial clients including Matrimonial, Conveyancing (Residential and Commercial), Litigation, Wills and Probate.  He joined the Enfield Office in 1999 having run his own practice for 13 years.  Roger Qualified as a solicitor in 1983 having previously qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1976 and is a member of Resolution.

Adrian Toulson (Conveyancing Team Manager and Solicitor) Adrian joined Breeze & Wyles Solicitors LLP in September 2009. Since joining Adrian has had a positive affect on the development of service quality to volume conveyancing work suppliers such as Banks, Building Societies, Estate Agents and Brokers. Promoting a need for service quality, communication and innovation Adrian has had a dramatic impact on our achievement against service targets of all of our referrers. Martyn Bateman – (Practice Manager) Martyn has been Practice Manager at the firm since the start of 2000 and has overseen the substantial growth of the firm since then.  His early career was in the Court Service serving in Crown and County Courts throughout the Midlands before a short spell as a Business Management consultant.  Martyn’s responsibilities range from planning for the future of the business to day-to-day administration.  He is the Head of the Administration Department which deals with the Firm’s premises, people, IT systems and accounts, he is also the Firm’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Stephen Blake – (HR Manager) Stephen joined the Breeze & Wyles Solicitors LLP in 2002, to develop the firm’s HR function. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources he is responsible for all the recruitment needs of the business, as well as all other aspects of HR Management. Stephen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Graeme Dykes (Accounts Manager) Graeme joined the firm in 2011 to head up the finance function.  The accounts team consists of eight cashiers providing all accountancy services for the directors and staff.  Graeme graduated from King’s College London in 1987 (with a Biology degree); after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 with a small City firm he moved from general practice into industry heading up the accounts teams of a Transport Consultancy and an Economic Consultancy.  He is Chair of Governors at Katherines Primary School, Harlow and a Governor at John Warner School, Hoddesdon.

Dave Benns – (IT Manager) Dave joined Breeze & Wyles Solicitors LLP in 2002 having worked for a large legal IT supplier for almost 14 years, where he gained his knowledge of both IT skills, the legal professions need for IT and experience of implementation of change management.  Dave is responsible for the day to day running of the our internal/external networks and future development and planning of our IT infrastructure.
